Role Overview
Reporting to the Vice President, Product Design & Innovation, the Junior Product Coordinator – Travel & Soft Bags provides operational support, assists in coordinating the product development cycle, and supports key deliverables for Travel and soft bags products.This role contributes to product initiatives by facilitating communication between internal teams (design, import, sales, marketing) and ensuring that all product information, samples, updates, and documents are accurate, up to date, and delivered on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development Support
- Support the VP in preparing product briefs, competition matrices, PK tags, and launch documents.
- Collect, update, and organize product information in product feature files.
- Track samples at every stage of development, including reception and organization.
- Maintain updated tools and trackers related to product evolution (market and product research, product features, nomenclature, product roadmaps).
- Support the VP in conducting basic market research (trends, competitive benchmarks, pricing analysis) by updating related documents.
- Update comparative matrices (competition, positioning).
- Monitor key dates, milestones, deliverables, and statuses for each collection.
- Update internal documentation for active, discontinued, or transitioning products.
- Collaborate with the commercial team for showroom sample coordination.
- Support the Product Development/Design team with email communication with Asia.
- Assist the Product Development/Design team throughout the product development process.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as an operational point of contact for design, import, sales, and marketing teams.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on samples and nomenclature for catalogs and photoshoots.
Documentation & Organization
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across all product documents and internal matrices.
- Organize weekly follow-ups, summaries, and trackers to maintain clear project visibility.
Key Requirements
Education & Experience
- College or university degree in business administration, marketing, design, commerce, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in product coordination, product development, project coordination, or an administrative role within a product-focused organization.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills (French and English).
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Monday.com or similar tools is an asset.
- Strong interest in product development, manufacturing, market trends, and the travel/soft bags category (considered an asset).
